Meet Dr. Wood

I have a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, a Doctorate of Chiropractic, and an advanced certification in Sport Science and Human Performance. I earned my undergraduate degree at Messiah University, right here in the area, before heading to the Finger Lakes region of New York to complete my doctorate at Northeast College of Health Sciences.

Sports have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I played soccer, ran, wrestled, and trained in MMA, and I went on to run cross country, track and swim in college. That background gave me a deep appreciation for what the human body is capable of, and it’s a big part of why I do what I do today. I love living a healthy, active lifestyle, and I love helping others meet their own goals, whatever they look like.

I grew up in Gettysburg, and coming back to this area to practice wasn’t a hard decision. My family is here, and so is my wife’s, and being away from my friends and family for 4 years while in New York taught me the importance of having those connections. I’ve also been fortunate to have an incredible mentor in Dr. Sheahan, who welcomed me into his practice and guided me every step of the way. He’s since retired, and while there’s no filling shoes like his, I’m committed to giving this community the same level of care he did.

My Approach

My approach to chiropractic care is rooted in evidence-based practice — I stay current with the research so the care I provide is grounded in what actually works, not just tradition. I’m hands-on with every patient, using techniques tailored to what each person’s body needs, including diversified adjusting, Activator Method, drop table technique, and interferential current (IFC) therapy to help mange pain and inflammation alongside adjustments.

Care doesn’t stop at the table

With my background in exercise science, I like to look at the bigger picture — pairing adjustments with exercise programs, stretching routines, and rehab plans designed around your specific goals, whether that’s recovering from an injury, building strength, or just moving better day to day.

Lasting impact of habits

I am a big believer that lasting results come from the habits you build outside the office. I love talking with patients about the lifestyle side of health — posture, sleep quality, stress management, exercise, and nutrition, including simple, practical ways to reduce inflammation or dial in protein intake. My goal isn’t just to get you out of pain, but to help you build a foundation for long-term health.
